No virus carrier was identified during the A/H1N1 virus monitoring in the hog breeding farms in Azerbaijan.

388 blood samples taken from the farms throughout the country have been examined since April 27, the State Veterinary Service told APA. No carrier of A/H1N1 virus was identified among the samples and no infected or ill animals were found in the farms. The State Veterinary Service under the Ministry of Agriculture is keeping the possible A/H1N1 transmission to Azerbaijan and will conduct regular monitoring in the country. The next monitoring will be started on June 1. The bank of medicines for disease control, disinfected substances and individual protective resources was created in the country and the veterinary services and hog breeding farms were recommended to take necessary veterinary-sanitary measures. The State Veterinary Service under the Ministry of Agriculture informed the population that current epizootic situation is stable in the country and the issues are under the permanent control.
