The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has invited the leadership of Azerbaijan to adopt a national law on missing persons and is, in turn, ready to participate in this process.
According to the press service of the Baku office of the ICRC, the due statement was made by head of the ICRC representative office in Azerbaijan Ton Vandenkhov at a round table held today with participation of the vice speaker of Milli Medjlis Bahar Muradova.
"ICRC considers it important to revise the law related to the missing citizens and their families. The national authorities should ensure the implementation of processes for the law to protect the rights of missing persons and their families to cover a broad area", he said.
