Employees of the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan defused two organized criminal gangs engaged in drug trafficking.

Some 121 kilograms of drugs were withdrawn criminals, the press service of Interior Ministry told Trend News on May 21.

Members of one of the criminal groups were arrested. They were citizens of Iran - 31-year-old Behzad Amiri and 28-year-old Rahman Zamani.

13 packets of heroin (26 kilograms 147 grams), 70 packets (13 kilograms 935 grams) of hashish, 9 packets (5 grams) of cocaine and 1.2 grams opium were withdrawn from them.

Detained said that they acquired the drugs from the citizen of Iran Abuzar.

After his identification, it was revealed that Abuzar carried the contraband drugs in 26 ironing board.

Behzad Amiri and Rahman Zamani took the drugs and hid in an apartment rented in the Khan Shushinski street in Baku's Narimanov district.

The investigation revealed that Abuzar phoned Behzad Amiri, and ordered to give four packages to the man, who has not been identified yet. Behzad Amiri told Rahman Zamani to meet with this person and give the package.
