After getting familiar with the recent interview of the head of the International Armenian Cossacks Association Sergey Madatyan, I would like to say that his information is false, said chairman of the Azerbaijan's Cossacks Community, ataman Viktor Mereshkin.

"If he is a Cossack, he must have known that the Cossacks never get reduced to begging and if Madatyan is funded by the public entities, it is not that simple. We are ready for a dialogue after the resolution Karabakh conflict in line with the historical truth.

Sergey Madatyan should have familiarized with the history of the Cossacks and the legislative acts of Russia of 26 April 1991 "On the Rehabilitation of Repressed Peoples" and the Presidential Decree of 15 June 1992 "On measures to implement the Law on the Rehabilitation of Repressed Peoples with regards to the Cossacks", noted B. Mereshkin.

"It is a great pity that Armenia has not a single Cossack with a Slavic surname", concluded he.
