"The State Veterinary Service at the Azerbaijan Agriculture Ministry has not yet lifted ban on the import of pork from Georgia", said spokesman for the State Veterinary Service at the Ministry of Agriculture Yolchu Khanveli.

He said the ban on import from Georgia, Stavropol, Krasnodar and North Ossetia might be lifted in three years.

"If African fever virus is not revealed in these years, it would be possible to lift the ban", noted Khanveli.

It should be reminded that African fever was found in Georgia and Armenia. This virus was revealed in Nic village of Gabala.
