Azerbaijan State Railway has intensified work due to the first swine flu case revealed in the country,” railway office spokesperson Nadir Azmammadov said.

“The conductors have been already informed about the A/H1N1 case. In case they reveal first symptoms of the disease, they prepare a document which includes name, surname, address etc. of the infected person and later call ambulance,” Azmammadov said.

He said officers of the sanitation and quarantine agency have already instructed train chiefs and conductors to toughen control in stations.

“The railway has also launched a hot line,” Azmammadov said.
