“In fact, currently there is no military hazing in Azerbaijani army,” Azerbaijani Defense Ministry spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Eldar Sabiroglu said.
“We have repeatedly stated our position in this regard. The situation is not so as described by some media outlets. In some cases, there is the negative attitude of soldiers to one another that which should not be be regarded as “hazing.”
“It is better to be assess these cases as a violation of military code. Sometimes there are disputes between the recruits of the same month. Does it have something to do with “hazing?” However, we see inaccurate information by authors who are unaware of the situation,” Sabiroglu said.
