Azerbaijani sprinter Ramil Guliyev keeps on opening a new page in the history of the national athletics and win hearts of sports lovers around the world.

19-year-old sprinter reached semifinals of World Cup among adult people held in Berlin. In quarter-final, Ramil ran 200 meters in 20.40 seconds and won 2nd place which brought him to the rating of 16 best runners of the world.

He was left behind in the race only by Steve Mullings of Jamaica (20.23).  At the same time, Azerbaijani sportsmen ranked fourth in the quarter-final. It is noticeable that in the quarter-final Guliyev ran faster than the Useyn Bolt, the fastest man of the world who ran the distance in 20.41 seconds.  

At preliminary stage Ramil Guliyev’s time was equal to 21.12 with his personal best totalling 20.04.
