Recently, Day.Az reader expressed her protest against the “outrage” about the Baku-Donetsk-Odessa flight.

The letter says while registering with the landing of Baku-Donetsk aircraft, which was to fly on August 21, passengers suddenly found out that there are not enough seats for all passengers.

Representative of Aerosvit airway company offered passengers who have not got seats to transfer to a flight Baku-Kiev and Ganja-Kiev. Passengers would pay for a travel to Ganja themselves.

AeroSvit representative to Azerbaijan Alexander Lisovik commented on the recent situation with the flight. .

“The reason for this situation lies in the fact that the plane with less passenger capacity than expected flew from Donetsk. Therefore, seven of the passengers did not have seat on the plane,”  Lisovik said.

“This situation was caused by the fact that the aircraft with necessary capacity was due to fly from Donetsk, but for technical reasons was unable to do so. Therefore, another aircraft with smaller capacity was sent to replace it,” he added.

“We proposed to the remaining passengers to transfer to flight Baku-Kiev and Ganja-Kiev. Passengers would pay for travel to Ganja themselves, and then, by attaching travel documents, they will be compensated for all expenses,” Lisovik said.

“All the passengers had already been transferred to other flights,” he said.
