Azerbaijan grandmaster Teymour Radjabov has found himself in the eight spot in the new rating list as of September 2009 published by the FIDE (International Chess Federation).
Bulgarian player Veselin Topalov topped the list with 2813 garnered. Indian world champion Anand ranked second (2788), Armenian Levon Aronyan third (2773), Norwegian Manugs Carlsen scored 2772, Russian Vladimir Kramnik 2772, Hungarian Peter Leko 2762, Teymour Radjabov 2757, Ukrainian Vasily Ivanchuk 2756, Israeli Boris Gelfand 2756 and Russian Alexander Morozevich 2750.
Two Azerbaijanis Vugar Hashimov (2740) and Shahriyar Mammadyarov also entered the top 25 taking 14th and 21st places.
