The "Green Cyclists" club will hold a "Green Week" on environmental protection Azerbaijan on Sept. 9 to 15.
"Every day there will be various activities for environmental education and campaigning "cleanness action ", a cycling competition, walking competition and other games will be held and films on environmental issues will be displayed during Green Week, the "Green Cyclists" said.
The Azerbaijani Institute of Tourism, the French Embassy in Azerbaijan and the organization "Ecosphere" will support the event.
The Club "Green Cyclists" was organized by a group of youth activists in Sept. 2008. During the year the club gathered 300 nature lovers.
The club's main activities focus on preservation of ecosystem and formation of a physically healthy society in Azerbaijan. They do this by increasing work on environmental education.
