The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan has issued a statement on flood disaster in Hajigabul region, public relations department of the ministry said.
The ministry said some media organizations reported about the flooded houses and anxious people in Hajigabul region on Oct. 7.
“The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that short rainfall in Hajigabul at the evening on Oct. 7 caused water flow of water from Mushovdagh mountain towards private houses, which flooded about 80 courtyards and basement of about 30 houses. Local organizations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations began pumping of water from the courtyards and basements. Level of the water flowed from Mushovdag was also reduced. All infrastructures in the region are fully working now and there is no reason for the people’s anxiety and confusion”.
