9-year pupils will take the centralized examinations in Azerbaijan.

"This year, for the first time, the Education Minister will organize centralized examinations for 9-year pupils," Education Minister Misir Mardanov told reporters.

In 2008, the centralized exams will be held at secondary schools of Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Shirvan and Mingachevir cities of Azerbaijan, as well as, in Ujar, Imishli and Ismayilli regions of the country.

This year, the representatives of the Education Minister will be sent to schools of all regions to take centralized examinations.

They will hold training for school directors, teachers and school-leavers on the centralized exams.
