“There is no need to place country’s Kurdamir region in quarantine."
"All necessary preventive measures have been taken in the region,” Azerbaijani Health Ministry senior official Viktor Gasimov said.
“Blood samples have been taken from people who were in contact with the ‘swine flu’-infected individuals,” he said.
“A/H1N1virus was revealed with one of the relatives of the ‘swine flu’-infected people. Analysis of blood samples of other persons did not reveal the virus,” he said.
"Those who were in contact with the ‘swine flu’-infected people are under medical supervision,” he said.
Azerbaijani national, resident of country’s Kurdamir region, arrived from Ivano-Frankovsk province of Ukraine in late Oct., was tested positive for ‘swine flu’ in early Nov.
Two more A(H1/N1) cases were revealed on Nov. 5.
