Moscow and All Russian Patriarch Cyril has arrived in Azerbaijan for one-day visit.
He was welcomed at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport by the Baku and Caspian Eparchy bishop Alexander, Azerbaijani Vice Prime Minister Elchin Efendiyev, Chairman of the State Committee for Religious Associations Hidayat Orujov, Senior Counselor of the Russian embassy in Azerbaijan Alexander Trophimov.
The Russian Patriarch will participate at the events dedicated to 60th jubilee of the Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikh-al-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh and 30 years of his activity in this post, and the cross-religions dialogue conference in Baku.
He will meet with President Ilham Aliyev as well.
