Health Ministry of Azerbaijan has asked local TV channels to broadcast programs to raise awareness about AH1N1 (“swine flu”) threat, Azerbaijani Health Ministry senior official Victor Gasimov said.

He said the TV channels were asked to broadcast social videos about "sine flu", its symptoms and methods of protection against the disease.

Azerbaijani national, resident of country’s Kurdamir region, who arrived from Ivano-Frankovsk province of Ukraine in late Oct., was tested positive for ‘swine flu’ in early Nov.

Two more A(H1/N1) cases were revealed on Nov. 5. One of them is a relative of the Kurdamir resident. The other arrived from Ukraine by plane in early Nov.

Azerbaijan confirmed eight more A/H1N1 cases on Nov. 9.

New cases have been confirmed with three people who have arrived from Ukraine, one with a person who have arrived from Turkey and one is foreigner who has arrived from England. The remaining three have caught the disease from the infected individuals.

Azerbaijan confirmed one more 'swine flu' case on Nov. 11.
