Caucasus Muslims Spiritual Leader Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade congratulated the Azerbaijani people on the Gurban Holiday ("Eid al Adha" - Festival of Sacrifice) on Nov. 25.
Sheikh ul-Islam wished the Azerbaijani people welfare, happiness and peace.
"Gurban is a historic tradition. It is a holy day on our calendar. This day we pray for the souls of war victims who died defending our land and independence," he said.
