Azerbaijani parliament has banned child labor.
The parliament approved amendments to the labor and family codes.
Based on the changes, children under 15 years old will cannot be employed.
Chairman of the Parliament’s Committee for Social Policy Hadi Rajabli informed about the document.
The bill envisages amendments to the Family Code and Law on Children’s Rights.
Rajabli said the amendments contributed to protection of children’s rights and banned child labor under 15.
The committee chairman said those who violate the law will be held accountable.
MP Ganira Pashayeva noted importance of taking serious measures against violators and exercise a control over execution of the law.
