A commemorative event to mark the 6th anniversary of demise of Azerbaijan's national leader Heydar Aliyev was held in Tehran.
The event brought together members of the Iran-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, intellectuals and others.
Azerbaijani ambassador to Iran Javanshir Akhundov briefed the participants on the national leader`s lifetime and activity.
The diplomat said Heydar Aliyev had made great efforts to establish mutual trust in relationship between Azerbaijan and Iran, and this policy is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.
An event to commemorate national leader Heydar Aliyev's memory was also held in China bringing together officials of the Azerbaijani embassy, students, businessmen and others.
Ambassador Yashar Aliyev spoke of the national leader`s efforts to establish and strengthen the Azerbaijani statehood.
The participants also saw a documentary featuring activities of the national leader.
Heydar Aliyev`s memory was also honored in the Azerbaijani Embassy in UK which brought together members of the Azerbaijani and Turkish communities in London.
Ambassador Fakhraddin Gurbanov briefed the participants on the national leader`s merits before his people.
He noted thanks to successful foreign policy of the national leader, Azerbaijan received worthy place in the world community.
The ambassador also said Heydar Aliyev`s policy is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.
Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Spain organized an event to commemorate the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Representatives of the Azerbaijani and Turkish communities in the country, officials of the embassy and others attended the event.
Ambassador Mammad Aliyev spoke of national leader`s efforts towards establishing and strengthening Azerbaijan`s statehood.
The diplomat pointed out the national leader`s successful internal and foreign policy is continued by President Ilham Aliyev.
The participants saw a documentary on Heydar Aliyev`s lifetime and activity.
