At the initiative of Head of the Office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the Russian Federation Leyla Aliyeva, a New Year charity concert for children from 20 orphanages and boarding schools in Moscow was held here at the “Baku” movie and concert complex.
At the close of the event, children received gifts from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's Russia Office.
About 600 children from about twenty specialized orphanages of Moscow were invited to the festivity, the Moscow Office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation officer Neymat Nagdaliyev said.
The Moscow Office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation expressed gratitude to the Moscow's All Russian Congress of Azerbaijanis and its chairman Ilgar Hajiyev for an opportunity to use the "Baku" movie to conduct a charity for orphans.
Nagdaliyev said they also plan to make a New Year gift to a special correctional children's home No 1 for children with physical handicaps in the eastern Moscow.
