Winners of "Company of the Year" National Award have been announced.
Day.Az news portal has been recognized as the best company in the "Media" category.
Some 29 companies and brands of the country were awarded prizes.
A solemn ceremony was held in the Gulustan Palace in Baku on Dec. 19 to award companies that have achieved significant success in the current year.
The awardees included financial institutions that own a significant share of the market in their area, local and foreign companies playing an important role in economic development, as well as new players in country's business scope.
“Prizes are awarded to companies that demonstrated remarkable development in a year that was difficult for the whole world economic community becoming market leaders in its field. The list of nominees once again confirms the significant increase in country's non-oil sector, which, in turn, testifies to correct and balanced economic development of Azerbaijan,” Chairman of the Organizing Board of the "Company of the Year” National Award Ibrahim Bagarov said addressing the solemn ceremony.
"Company of the Year" National Award was established in 2000 by the famous Consulting & Business, a business magazine for business people. The prize is awarded at the end of each year.
General sponsor of the solemn ceremony was Azercell Telecom.
