Azerbaijan donated one million dollars to restoration of carpets collection at Louvre Museum.
French newspaper “Le Figaro” published an article on Dec. 8, 2009 about donations of different countries, private companies and individuals.
The newspaper said a number of Muslim countries, including Morocco, Oman, Kuwait, as well as Azerbaijan, alongside with French philanthropists, contributed to newly-established Islamic art exposition, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
Louvre Museum said one million dollars donated by Azerbaijan would be spent for restoration of carpets collection.
