The Institute of Diplomatic Studies at the Foreign Ministry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted the presentation of the second edition of "Heydar Aliyev and national policy in Azerbaijan" book (by Hidayat Orujov) in Arabic language, the press service of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations of Azerbaijan reported on March 29th.
Addressing the presentation ceremony and highlighting the incomparable merit of National leader, the late President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and the late Saudi King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in establishing relations between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia, the chairman of the State Committee of Azerbaijan for Work with Religious Organizations Hidayat Orujov said, that Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev pays special attention to these friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries.
Orujov expressed deep gratitude to the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia for the enduring support to Azerbaijan's position in the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The event was attended by senior officials of the friendly country, the leadership of the institute and the faculty, scientists, diplomats, accredited in Riyadh, and Azerbaijan's ambassador to Saudi Arabia Tofig Abdullayev.
Chief Director of the Institute, Ambassador, Dr. Mohammed Uverdi praised as significant event the edition of 'Heydar Aliyev and National Policy in Azerbaijan' book in Arabic and said that this book was presented to a wider audience at the scientific-educational institution, which he heads.
Participants were familiarized with the main idea of the book "Heydar Aliyev and National Policy in Azerbaijan", the aim and objective of presenting it to the Arabic-speaking readers, exclusive achievements of President Heydar Aliyev in the preservation
of the tolerant environment in multinational and multi-religious
Azerbaijan were highlighted, preparation of system of relations between the State and religion based on the outlook "Azerbaijan is a secular state, but is inseparable from its religion and today is successfully continuing, as well as enriching the distinctive national and moral values of the Azeri people.
Therefore, scientific and practical views on the activities of this great personality in the field of national and moral values are of great importance for researchers of Islamic mentality and Arab readers are interested in this regard.
