Blast in the railway line in Dagestan did not cause problems in movement of trains from Azerbaijan in the direction of Russia, Azerbaijan Railways Spokesman Nadir Azmammadov said.
The Baku-Tumen and Baku-Rostov trains were sent in accordance with the schedule. One line of the road is working in the scene.
"By the time Baku-Tumen and Baku-Rostov trains reach the blasted area (at about 12:00 Baku time), traffic on it will already be restored," Azmammadov said.
A locomotive and two carriages were damaged on the Tarki-Manas crossing in Dagestan.
The blast occurred at 4:50 Moscow time. An explosive device went off during the passage of the buffer trains, consisting of a locomotive and two carriages with sand, Interfax reported.
The Makhachkala Interior Transport Management's representative also confirmed the blast adding that it was locomotive with two platforms loaded with sand.
