In December Baku will host a conference on the theme "The relationship between state and religion: the historical traditions and new approaches", the press service of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations of Azerbaijan told Trend.
The event will bring together the leaders of state agencies on religious affairs of foreign countries, leaders of traditional religions, known theologians and political scientists. The urgency of the conference, organized by the State Committee, was mentioned in terms of the full approach to the criteria of the historical path of development of relations between state and religion.
A positive practice of holding international conferences is observed in Azerbaijan over recent years. It was noted that many public and religious leaders, heads of public organizations have expressed a desire to regularly participate at conferences in Baku.
