Speeding has resulted in most of the traffic accidents in Azerbaijan this year.
Of 1,402 traffic accidents, 592 occurred as a result of speeding (254 were people killed and 531 were injured), 334 occurred due to passing violation (100 were killed and 437 were injured) and 114 occurred due to intersection violations (18 killed and 137 injured), the Interior Ministry's Central Traffic Police Department told Trend.
A total of 482 people were killed and 1,460 people were injured in January-July. Pedestrians were involved in 536 accidents. 34 children aged 13 and under were killed.
