Remote Surveillance and Control System established by Azerbaijan for controlling the ships in the national sector of the Caspian Sea will be ready by the end of September, chief of Azerbaijan State Maritime Administration Gudrat Gurbanov said.

According to Gurbanov, the equipment for establishing the system is being brought to Baku. After the system is ready, all the ships sailing under the flag of Azerbaijan and the ships of the foreign countries in Azerbaijan’s territorial waters, the state, speed, direction of the ships will be observed by the National Central and Sate Border Service of Azerbaijan State Maritime Administration.

“The new system will make it available to obtain information about the movement, security, position of all the ships not only in the Caspian Sea, but also the ships sailing in the ocean waters,” chief of Azerbaijan State Maritime Administration said.

Remote Surveillance and Control System is being established by the famous companies of the world. These companies are SAAB company of Sweden, PB-RADICOM-APS of Denmrak, Kibernetika of Spain and Geomatika of Russia.
