Azerbaijan's Education Minister Misir Mardanov met chairman of Germany-Azerbaijan Forum Otto Hauser and member of Bundestag Thomas Bareib on Aug. 25.

Mardanov praised the relationship between Azerbaijan and Germany.

He also underlined the importance of what Otto Hauser, Azerbaijan's Honorary Consul to Stuttgart had done to contribute to developing education cooperation between the two countries.

Mardanov also remembered the education-related discussions conducted during the Azerbaijani delegation's visit to Germany last year.

According to him, Germany is one of the three countries for the number of the Azerbaijani students who are sent to study within the framework of the “State Program on education of Azerbaijani youth in foreign countries in 2007-2015 years”.

For his part, Otto Hauser said Germany was keen on cooperation with Azerbaijan in all spheres including education one.

Hauser said he regularly meets with the Azerbaijani students studying in Germany.

He also noted German specialists were interested in establishment of cooperation with the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy.
