German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ) has announced investigative journalism competition for print and online articles written on “Right to education: legislation and practice of Azerbaijan”.

The competition is the part of GTZ project on “Support of Legal and Judicial Reforms in Azerbaijan”.

The winners of the competition will be defined by an independent jury composed of recognized experts.

The winners will be remunerated with certificates and financial awards: the first prize – 500 AZN; the second prize – 400 AZN; the third prize – 300 AZN.

Journalists may take part in the contest with their articles published within September 1 – October 15, 2010 in a periodical press or recognized Internet resources.

One journalist can not submit more than one article. A journalist willing to participate in the contest must be engaged in active journalistic activities and have at least one year of working experience in journalism.

Authors shall submit the relevant copies of the press as well as electron version of their articles to the Project Office of GTZ and fill in the appropriate application form.
