The Azerbaijan University of Languages will open new centers this year focusing on individual country studies, Rector Samad Seyidov said.
"We plan to open the India Center this year," he said. "Negotiations are also underway to open China and Japan centers."
The rector added that the Faculty of Caucasian Studies will also open this year.
"Ironically, we are studying our neighbors less than these far-off countries like the United States and the UK," Seyidov said. "Our neighboring countries, including Georgia and Armenia, will be widely studied at this faculty."
