Azerbaijan's Human Rights Commissioner Elmira Suleymanova has attended an international conference in Tbilisi on the role of ombudsman institution in protection of human rights. The event was devoted to the memory of former Polish Ombudsperson Januš Kohanovski who died in a plane crash near Smolensk.
The conference participants discussed what ombudsman institutions do to protect human rights.
Addressing the event Elmira Suleymanova highlighted the workings of the Ombudsman Institute in Azerbaijan. She also spoke of the ongoing legal reforms in her country.
