With each year, Azerbaijan is moving up, leaving the "Soviet past" behind, and things that remind people of the USSR are less and less to be found. However, such things are old busts of Joseph Stalin and Vladimir Lenin are still around. In this particular case, bust of Lenin was found in Ganja. The fact itself is quite surprising.

Back in the day, this very bust was standing in front of the student dormitory of the Ganja University. Time passed on, "Lenin" was taken down, and it was put away.

Most citizens believe, the bust is a complete waste, and should be either taken away or broken down. Most of the people living in a dormitory (most are the IDPs from Kelbadjar region) believe that the bust is a disrespect to Azerbaijanis, and that Lenin was one of those who made the occupation of Azerbaijan by Soviet Russia, possible.

The manager of the dormitory admitted, that he is unaware of the big "Lenin" bust, and most of the people living inside the dorm actually got used to the "big white head" of Lenin, standing near their home.
