Coordinator of the project “Yesterday, today and tomorrow”, which aims to expand the cultural dialogue between Azerbaijan and Slovenia, prof. Mrs. Vesna Crnivets is in Lahic settlement of Ismayilli region of Azerbaijan, from October 15.
The project, which is supported by Azerbaijani Embassy to Slovenia, Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Culture of Slovenia, envisages conducting some events in Azerbaijan and Slovenia in 2010-2011. Since 2002, Mr. Crnivest has participated in numerous projects and events in Azerbaijan, including a visit to Lahic settlement in 2008 within the project “Protection of youth and cultural heritage”. At that time, 17-minute short film “Welcome to Lahic” was shot and photo exhibition of 45 pictures prepared. During this visit, the film was broadcasted in Lahic secondary school and photo exhibition opened.
Professor Crnivets said, “the film demonstration and photo exhibition were organized in the “Pioneer house” art center, Volentin Vodnik Cultural Center of Slovenia city Ljubljana and ethnography and cultural anthropology faculty of Lyubliana University. The film and photo exhibition will be also demonstrated in Azerbaijan University of Baku city. A new project “Summer school” envisages a rest of the two countries` students and teachers”.
Expert of the French “Danone Azerbaijan”, the native of Lahic settlement Bilura Bayramova and director of Lahic secondary school Hikmat Hagverdili rendered assistance to Crnivest. The guest also made a short film and prepared photo collection of Azerbaijani national clothes. The photos will be demonstrated at the international photo exhibition, which is to take place in Slovenia, in 2011.
The visit will end on November 2.
