As a result of imprudence, police major Kamran Khankishiyev wounded himself with standard weapon, Deputy Chief of Interior Ministry’s press service Ehsan Zahidov said.
Touching upon wrong information published today in a newspaper related to the incident, Zahidov spoke about details: “Kamran Khankishiyev is an officer of the main public security department of the Interior Ministry. He handled his weapon carelessly and got himself wounde as a result. This incident became a sensation on the press, but its nothing to be speaking about."
Chief of Interior Ministry’s press service Sadig Gozelov told APA how the incident took place. To him, the incident was recorded on November 20, at about 20.00: "Police major Kamran Khankishiyev dined with his cousin, and when they got into a car, Khankishiyev took out his gun, and accidentally shot himself. He got wounded due to careless handling of the weapon".
Gozelov noted that all materials on this case had been gathered and sent to the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic.
