Under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc, Turkish Directorate General of Press and Information and Strategic Studies Center of the Foreign Ministry will organize a Media Forum of Turkish Speaking countries on 21-22 December in Ankara.

The Turkish Premier Erdogan will deliver a speech in the forum called “Media in globalizing world: opportunities and problems”.

Other top officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, chief of Directorate General of Press and Information Murat Karakaya, head of Strategic Studies Center of the Foreign Ministry Bulent Aras are also expected to address the event.

The forum will be followed by a seminar under the theme “role of media and NGOs in development of political, economic and social cooperation in the Turkic world”.

Director General of Anadolu Agency Hilmi Bengi will inform participants about activities of the Alliance of Turkish News Agencies which is presided by AzerTAc.

Journalists from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Turkmenistan and Northern Cyprus will join the forum to discuss prospects of cooperation. The forum is expected to adopt a declaration.
