“11,000 wrongdoings have been recorded in the field of migration in Azerbaijan this year. about 8,500 people have been deported from the country. 1210 of them were removed administratively,” chief of the State Migration Service Arzu Rahimov said at the event on the occasion of the International Migrants Day – December 18.
Arzu Rahimov said a lot of people come to Azerbaijan to live and work.
“There are over 400,000 foreigners and stateless persons in Azerbaijan. This list also includes students. Azerbaijan is combating illegal migration, but there is also good attitude towards migrants,” he said.
Arzu Rahimov said the State Migration Service received over 50,000 applications.
“This is not a small figure. We have an individual approach to every application,” he said.
