Wildfires broke out at the southern foot of the Great Caucasus Mountain range, in the north-west of Azerbaijan.
Residents of Shaki region told that the fire was recorded yesterday at the southern foot of the Great Caucasus mountain range in Bash Keldek village of Shaki.
The fire has not been extinguished yet. Shaki Fire Fighting Unit of the State Fire Fighting Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed the fact to APA. The fire engines and forces of Shaki Fire Fighting Unit were immediately sent to the site.
The fire covers approximately 5ha area. As the fire area is higher than the settlement, there are problems in extinguishing the fire. Fire also broke out in the morning at the southern foot of the Great Caucasus mountain range in Bash Zeyzid village of Shaki. The vehicles and forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are taking measures to extinguish the fire.
