The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan and the Committee on Youth Policy of Dagestan signed an action plan for youth work for 2011-2012.
The document was signed during the visit of the delegation headed by Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov to Dagestan on Dec. 16, the press service of the Ministry reported.
During the visit the sides also signed a protocol of intention on cooperation in the sphere of youth policy.
During the visit, flowers were laid at the bust to the Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev in the Dzhamikend village of Derbent district. The delegation visited the Heydar Aliyev Museum at secondary school in the Dzhamikend village.
Meetings were held with the head of Derbent city administration of Kurban Kurbanov, chairman of the Parliament of the Republic of Dagestan, the leadership of the Derbent city administration.
An exhibition of works by young Dagestani and Azerbaijani artists and photographers was held. A gala concert was held featuring young singers of both republics. An exchange of views was conducted between representatives of the youth of Azerbaijan and Dagestan.
