The junior sergeant of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's military unit Sahib Asgarov and soldiers Sanan Mehdiyev and Ulduz Agayev committed an armed attack on the filling station in the Girli village in western Agstafa region on January 9, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported.
The Defense Ministry immediately launched an investigation into the fact. The perpetrators were identified and arrested.
Three unknown people attacked the fuel station in Aghstafa region of Azerbaijan and killed operator Mammad Mammadov. according to the local police, the incident took place last night. The assaulters left the site when they saw Mammadov dead.
Soldiers Azizagha Aliyev, Senan Mehdiyev and Saleh Asgarov were detained as suspects.
The regional prosecutor’s office said the soldiers admitted that they were planning to rob the station, but failed because of the operator’s vigilance. Soldier Sanan Mehdiyev was wounded during the assault.
The regional prosecutor’s office launched criminal investigation under the Article 120.1 (deliberate murder).
