Governor of Russia`s Ulyanovsk region Sergei Morozov has praised the
cooperation with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
In an interview with AzerTAc`s correspondent, Morozov said: “We thank the President of the foundation, Azerbaijan`s first lady
Mehriban Aliyeva. Last year she helped us with the repair of one of the
beautiful city schools in Ulyanovsk. The school now has latest
technological equipment. It was almost rebuilt. The school got a
beautiful museum…”
“I think we have good relations, which have broad prospects. We also
thank the foundation`s vice-president Leyla Aliyeva for visiting
Ulyanovsk. We have several joint projects aimed repairing schools and
helping Azerbaijani students here.”
Morozov also praised Azeri ambassador Polad Bulbuloglu`s contribution to
promoting Ulyanovsk within the Commonwealth of Independent States.
“Mr. Bulbuloglu actively participated in organizing cultural events in
Ulyanovsk, which turned our region into the CIS` cultural center.”
Morozov also praised Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev`s role
in Ulyanovsk`s history.
“We well remember Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev. We
cordially thank him for coming to Ulyanovsk and helping us survive when
we were on the verge of suffering big loss of live in 1983.”
“Last year we inaugurated a square after national leader Heydar Aliyev,
with the participation of presidents Dmitry Medvedev and Ilham Aliyev,”
the Ulyanovsk governor noted.
