Rector of Dogu Akdeniz University (Eastern Mediterranean University) of Northern Cyprus Abdullah Oztoprak visited Azerbaijan Institute of Teachers (AIT).
Mr. Akdeniz and AIT rector Agiya Nakhchivanli discussed prospects of development of bilateral relations.
Mr. Akdeniz was informed about Union of Azerbaijani students. He updated the teaching staff about Eastern Mediterranean University, which was established in 1979 as a higher-education institution of technology for Turkish Cypriots.
He said in 1986, it was converted to a state-trust-run university. The university has 50 departments (7 faculties and 3 schools) offering undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, as well as a research infrastructure.
