The Baku Seaside Park is expected to be enlarged from Palace of Sports till the area of the State Flag and from the Sea Port to Nobel Avenue. The relevant work will first begin work on the territory stretching from the Palace of Sports to the Flag Square, Deputy Director of the seaside park Nazim Majidov said.
All buildings in this area will be demolished, and that will open an area of 100-150 meters along the coast and roads.
"At present, the Seaside Park stretches along the territory of 2 kilometers. The area of the park will be increased up to 16 km and later to 25 kilometers. If in the future parkway extends up to 25 kilometers, the Baku Seaside Park will be the world's longest," he added.
Majidov noted that no attraction and roundabouts of the Soviet period have been left in the boulevard area over the past 3 years.
"All the old equipment has been removed from park and new ones have been imported from Italy, France, U.S. and other countries. We have two cinemas that show movies in the format of 4D and 5D which has aroused great interest among the people. "Panic Room" for lovers of adrenaline will be installed in the park in coming days along with "Laughter Room." An agreement has already been reached to deliver the necessary equipment from the United Kingdom,” Majidov said.
