Azerbaijani Press Council will appeal to the law enforcement agencies in connection with two newspapers. This decision was taken at a meeting of the Commission on the Press Council’s complaints, the Press Council said.

The meeting focused on the numerous complaints against the newspaper "Bizim dovr". As the newspaper is included in the Council’s "black list", it was deemed appropriate to consider sending the collected documents to the law enforcement agencies at the board of the Council.

After considering the information and collected materials on the "Son olay" newspaper, it was decided that there are moments that require investigation by the law enforcement agencies. Based on the fact that the newspaper is included in the Council’s "black list" of racketeer newspapers it was deemed appropriate to submit the collected materials on this edition to the Beylagan Region Prosecutor’s Office.

Other complaints were related with the newspapers "Azerbaycan gundemi", "Adalat carcisi" and "Cemiyyet". It was deemed appropriate to continue the investigation on all three newspapers by the Press Council’s Commission on Combating Racket Journalism.
