Azerbaijan General Prosecutor Office’s Department to Combat Corruption investigates 70 criminal cases currently.

16 criminal cases involving 30 persons have been sent to the courts since the beginning of the year, chief of the department Kamran Aliyev told journalists. Aliyev said the department has preliminarily investigated 385 criminal cases so far and sent the cases related to 698 individuals to the courts.

The department chief noted that the General Prosecutor Office’s hotline service has received 747 appeals since the beginning of the year, including the cases related to the issues of municipalities, social security, property and others.
