The State Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection Service under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development continues to monitor price controls aiming to prevent the artificial price hikes in the consumer market, the ministry said.
The prices on sugar, granulated sugar, tea, butter, ghee, rice, pastries, fruit juices, beef, chicken, mutton, sausages, dairy products, potatoes, onions and citrus have dropped.
The service has advised that legal measures will be enforced on trade facilities, importers and manufacturers if they attempt to manipulate prices by raising them.
Monitoring is underway.
