A delegation of Azerbaijan led by the culture minister Abulfas Garayev took part in the annual Summit of South-East Europe Council of Culture Ministers in Bucharest.
The event took place on April 14 and 15 bringing together culture ministers from South-East European countries, representatives of international organizations and high ranking officials. The meeting focused on international cultural projects and development of regional cooperation.
Azeri culture minister Abulfas Garayev addressing the event briefed the participants on the outcomes of the World Forum on Intercultural dialogue, which took place in Baku on April 7-9. The minister emphasized that on the initiative and under the support of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev Baku was assigned the status of an intercultural dialogue capital. The next World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue will reportedly take place in Baku in April 2013, according to the minister.
