Neymar, in his last match prior to sign with Barcelona, teared up before kick off between Santos and Flamengo (0-0). The Brazilian star played the 90 minutes for Santos in the opening match of the Brasileirao.
After the match, Neymar thanked his fans supporting him during his time at Santos, where he featured in 230 matches.
"It's a dream come true to be able to play for Barça. I thank God for making this possible", said Neymar, who added: "It's an honour to be able to play with Messi, Xavi and Iniesta".
Neymar also said: "I feel fantastic, very happy and grateful to Santos and I'm already thinking about Barca".
"Dani Alves was the one who insisted I join Barça", Neymar said after his final match for Santos on Sunday.
