Azerbaijani sambo fighters will compete in the World Championship started today in Lithuanian capital Vilnius.
Azerbaijan will be represented by European champion Islam Gasimov weighting in at 57 kg, Javidan Garayev at 62 kg, Elgun Muslumov at 68 kg, Samir Karimov at 74 kg, Elchin Ramazanov at 82 kg and Zaur Pashayev at 90 kg.
According to Azerbaijan Sambo Federation, the championship will culminate on Monday.
