Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin ordered to evict Azerbaijani restaurant "Bakinskiy Dvorik" (Baku Patio) from the theater building of Roman Viktyuk in Stromynka, Viktyuk told "Interfax".

"We have been struggling for a long time to remove the restaurant from the building which is not merely a theater but also a historical construction built by genuine architect Melnikov", Viktyuk reminded.

It's a very popular restaurant for the Azerbaijani Diaspora in Moscow.

"For many years we were telling the former mayor and law enforcement officers that restaurant and theater are not compatible together. They always promised to deal with this issue but no one did. On the contrary, we even faced band attacks aimed to scare us and leave it as is", Viktyuk said.

According to him, on Tuesday, men in masks arrived at the theater to evict the restaurant.

"I have been waiting that moment for many years, to see that everything is set in its place", Viktyuk concluded.
