Araz Azimov: "Reintegration of Nagorno Karabakh is the only way of solution Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict"

Mr.Azimov stated the purpose of the visit is preparation for the meeting of presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia that is to be held in France. Deputy Minister said the international community has been more interested in the resolution of the conflict adding 2006 can play important role in resolution of the conflict.

Speaking of the nature of conflict, its stages and the today's situation to be difficult, deputy minister stressed that, contradictions are considerable. "Azerbaijan's stance is unchangeable; the conflict has to be resolved within territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan's proposal is the reintegration of Nagorno Karabakh, and it has no alternative," said Deputy Minister.

Araz Azimov thinks that, keeping the lands under occupation gets heavier and heavier for Armenia, damages the interests of Armenia. Meanwhile, Deputy Minister did not want to give groundless hope to anybody as next steps of the opposite side are unpredictable.

Touching upon people diplomacy, Mr.Azimov thought it unsuitable for the current stage, because the negotiations are held confidentially, noting the issue may gain importance in future steps.
